Shri Bivash Ranjan Mondal, IAAS Principal Accountant General (Audit) Tripura, Agartala
Shri Bivash Ranjan Mondal is an officer of Indian Audit & Accounts Service 1994 batch. A post-graduate in science, he also holds a degree of Masters in Business Administration (Finance), and is currently posted as Principal Accountant General (Audit), Tripura, Agartala. He assumed charge of the office on 10-08-2020. He has also taken over additional charge of O/o Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement), Tripura where he already served as the Deputy Accountant General from November 2001 to July, 2003 and as Senior Deputy Accountant General from July, 2003 to November, 2003.
As Principal Accountant General (Audit), Tripura, Agartala he is responsible for audit of all expenditure and revenue of the Government of Tripura and all the public sector undertakings and the autonomous bodies under its administrative control. His audit jurisdiction also extends to a number of Implementing Units of Central Government Ministries located in the state.
Before taking charge as the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Tripura, Agartala he served as the Director General of Audit (Railway Commercial), New Delhi. He also served as the Principal Director, Railway Board Audit in the Office of the C&AG of India, New Delhi.
He has also served as Auditor General of the Republic of Nauru in the Central Pacific. His work in Nauru has been greatly recognised in the public diplomacy of India. During his tenure in Nauru from 2008 to 2011, he travelled Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Honkong etc. for serving the Republic of Nauru within the duties and responsibilities of the ITEC Plan of Government of India. His works in the Pacific islands and Nauru have helped to strengthen India’s public diplomacy in the Pacific.
He has also conducted audit of the United Nations University at Tokyo and Embassy Audit of Muscat, AbuDhabi & Dubai.
